A 5 album set of vintage newscasts by the incomparable Edward R. Murrow and Fred W. Friendly, from the years 1933 - 1945. Released in 1948 by Columbia Records Inc., this collection features the voices of Dwight Eisenhower, Winston Churchill, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Stalin, Hitler, Harry S. Truman, Douglas McArthur, Lou Gehrig's farewell, D-day speech, Hindenburg explosion, and much more. The 5 records are 78 rpm format and are in excellent condition. The album cover is slightly scuffed, no tears or crushes, and the binding is intact. This is a goldmine for either the professional or amateur historian - archivist and collector. This would make an excellent classroom training aid for history class! |
